I am a storyteller, bilingual voice actor, podcast host and – oh yeah – founder of HER Gist.
For the past 15 years, I’ve had the joy of working as a multilingual voice actor, lending my voice to hit animated series (hello, Cartoon Network & HBOMax!), children’s books, PSAs and global ad campaigns. Born in the U.S. and raised in Nigeria, I carry both worlds in my voice, my humor, and my heart. Whether English, Yorùbá, Ondó, or Pidgin, my voice doesn’t just “speak”; it connects.

Though I’ve hosted so many events, recorded countless videos and audio... But I think people would be very shocked to find out that, I’m actually very shy!
You ask... I couldn't stand my now infamous nickname “Ashidondo" I tried so hard to shake it off. (Gist for another day!) Harder I tried, the more it stuck. Now, I’ve since grown to love it.
I make the best Àsun! Argue with your keyboard. Credit to my Dad, but what kind of Ondó daughter would I be if I couldn't???
I genuinely enjoy making people laugh. I get my humor from my Dad; and my mom was my first audience. I hope they're still laughing at my stories from heaven.
And it's my Grandma's fault.
People always ask how I learned to speak Ondó so well. I grew up in Ondó with my Grandma. She didn't speak English, I didn't speak Ondó and we had to communicate somehow...so there you go. I think that's also where my love for languages come from and while I'm able to pick them up quickly. I speak French, Hindi a bit of Spanish.
I have the 6th Love language - Storytelling. Whether I'm behind a mic, on a stage or through my Grandma’s voice, I honestly believe stories connect us.
